One More Sleep... Wheee!
I thought it would be cool to try to capture one of people's worst fears, pardon my darkness. Don't worry, I checked the gun myself before taking the pictures. I really like the DOF on this one and ya gotta love the subject, hehee.
Geez, I'm now offcially to the point that we have to have silence when the friggin' funeral announcements come on. After they're done, the phone immediately rings, Mom's sister Joyce calls up, apparently they know someone. Please, if anyone knows, tell me why CFAN (excuse me... The River) had to go with an FM band? As if it's not bad enough with anyone who wanders in to our sleepy community having to listen to it, now we have to expand our range? Gotta love the Miramichi. Thankfully I got my 20GB MP3 with FM transmitter so I don't have to listen to that nonsense, particularly since it was the only station you could get while driving through the valley where Moncton's stations don't even dare to tread.
I wrote another test yesterday. This one I got 100% on it and it was the hardest one we'll have to face. Not bad for a girl who fell asleep while studying it, eh? I normally don't need to study. If it interests me, I retain it, store it in a file to be retrieved as needed. Nope, this stuff doesn't even make sense and this is where the bitching about the acronyms (and lack thereof) comes into play. For example, an Equifax Credit Report, when we code our calls we have to enter it as CPO. Heaven forbid it be a nice little acronym like ECR... nope, that'd be too easy, right?
I've also come to the conclusion that my training class is officially demented. I love it! They really are vultures just like us and when we say stupid things, the rest of us pounce on it and beat it into the ground and wait for the next one to screw up. You guys'd love 'em. For example, we were talking about people making inquiries on your credit report. Well, Trente has gone down in MyDyslexicFriends history. We have hard and soft inquiries. With such a comment as, "Sard and Hoft,"-Trente, really, how could I pass that one up?
Apparently we're going out wednesday night to Dooly's. I can't remember the last time I darkened their doors. I must say, I'm a little reluctant after the stabbing there a couple of weeks back but hey, we're harmless as long as we keep our pouncing, vulture ways to our own kind. It should be interesting 'cause we got our trainer going and Jackie, who's in her mid forties and we thought there was no way we'd be able to convince her, coming as well. Ya gotta watch those quiet ones... heehee!
Also Corey is known for streaking down University Ave. and standing on top of his car chucking beer bottles in front of the Opera House. His claim to fame is being searched by the cute female cop on the 'Chi's force and seeing the inside walls of the drunk tank 5 times. Guess that means we have our entertainment portion of the evening. Shouldn't be too costly of an outing, free pool and cheap drinks at Dooly's and it's lady's night at the Opera. The most costly part will likely be the cab home... or chipping in on Corey's bail. Whichever comes first.
One more sleep and we're off to the camp again this weekend. I just e-mailed Scott who's going to gather my grub and booze for me. That'll make life alot easier since I'm not going to be arriving at mile marker 201 'til about midnight. At least we're done at 11pm. friday instead of the usual 12am. Hopefully the Plaster Rock highway's decent... friggin' thing's treacherous on the nicest of days in the summer. I'll have to be sure to get more blackmail pictures to share with y'all this weekend.
Hopefully I'll be able to find it no problem. This is my first trip back alone since the new camp road and the new overpass in Renous. For anyone who really knows me knows I'd get lost in a wet paper bag. I might need a search party. That should be interesting since if you read a few blogs back, we tend to get totally inebriated on friday nights. I know we said we learned our lesson but this is the first weekend back since we admitted to having learned that lesson, I have a feeling it won't be on anyone's minds as they're slamming back beer, Aaron's pink drinks and paralyzers, waiting to come out and get me on the bikes. Ah well, admitting's the first step towards recovery.
Unless anything terribly exciting happens between now and tomorrow (this is the Miramichi, not too bloody likely) this will be my last entry 'til monday and we're back from the camp.
Oh, the car's now officially signed over in my name now too. Wahooo, I'm in debt again. At least this time, it's being done sensibly. Equifax would be proud.
*EDIT* If I see the, "This page cannot be displayed," one more time when trying to add my pictures, I'm gonna go postal. Once again, I'll have to try back later although the later doesn't even seem to be helping. Just might be time to search out a new blog spot, this one has too many bugs that continually piss me off. And not even a cut/copy/paste option to be found. Double Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....
*EDIT AGAIN* finally worked.

Hey Kim,
Wow, sounds like you've been busy. So are you enjoying the new work? It sounds like your doing well. Oh the Opera House, what a place. Who is Corey, would I know this guy? In my younger days I had the pleasure of spending a few nights in the old drunk tank myself. I even made two appearances in the same night once!! The cops were always nice to me and let me keep my laces.
Matt
On another note, I never have this problem when adding pictures to my site. I'm wondering if I'm doing it a different way than you? Liss has been having the same problems right?
Hey Matt,
Yeah, the opera. I went out with my old team from MLHL about a month ago. That's where we ended up. I hate to admit it but I had a blast. It's a sad day when a 32yr. old has a great time at the Opera. Of course, it was helped by drinking many Grogs.
I don't know if you'd know Corey Mutch or not, he's from Newcastle. Hey, maybe you guys did some hard time together? He wasn't so fortunate with his laces.
You're likely using HTML format, are you? I really need to learn that formatting, it just looks like an awful lot of work. I understand it somewhat. I actually had to get into it when I was posting my link to your guys blogs along the right hand side. I know I could figure it out, I'm just not sure if I want to, hehee.
Hmmm, maybe I've got something dis/enabled in my profile. I'll go nose around. Yeah, Liss is having the same problems, sounds like. That's what took her so long to get her camp pics up.
Speaking of camp, gotta go pack. No more sleeps, just a really long work day to get through now. Hopefully Scott won't get storm stayed.
Have a great weekend Matt,
~Kim
